Cindy is a New Jersey based mixed media Artist and works in both two dimensional drawings and paintings and three-dimensional sculpture works.  Starting her art career somewhere around 2001, Cindy who is self taught has been in many shows in New Jersey and Pennsylvania including the prestigious Ellarslie open in 2008, 2010, and 2011.  Her works have hung in several galleries in Pa. & NJ.  One of her paintings hangs in the Princeton House Behavioral Center Woman’s wellness Pavilion and she is very proud of that!

Working Primarily in pencil, marker and acrylics her drawings are both expressive and full of color. After drawing for a while she began to think of how she could turn her drawings into three-dimensional sculptures.  Working with found objects, homeless jewelry, pieces of toys, broken trinkets and beads her journey into the third dimension began!  Her work has been referred to as “Eye Candy” and her personal favorite…”Eye-Gasms”.  Cindy’s artwork reflects her contagious energy and vivid imagination.  Her work is thought provoking, twisted and dark but in a non-threatening cute kind of way.  Ridolfino’s work is emotionally expressive and she has the ability to put into art what people can’t put into words.

Artist’s Statement:

After finding myself at the end of a 25 year marriage I threw myself into my art as a way to express my feelings and keep myself on a road of recovery and growth.  Most of all of my work revolves around working towards Self Acceptance.  Becoming ok with Me and knowing that I am Splendidly Imperfect !

This has been a more healing and amazing journey than I could have ever imagined. I am very passionate about sharing the things I have learned both the joy and pain with others in a playful whimsical way that crosses many boundaries and leaves everyone smiling even if they relate a bit too closely!  I love to work with shiny bright glittery objects because it adds and element of depth to each piece, and because it just looks so damn cool it the light!
